What is the AI Health Coach?

Think of the AI Health Coach as a compassionate, knowledgeable companion who:

  • Listens to how you're feeling and helps you understand why
  • Recommends specific tools from the app based on your needs
  • Explains what's happening in your mind and body in simple terms
  • Helps you create realistic daily habits for long-term healing
  • Remembers important details about your health journey across conversations

What Makes the AI Health Coach Different?

Unlike a generic chatbot, your AI Health Coach:

  • Is trained specifically in nervous system regulation, gut health, trauma, and stress
  • Recommends actual tools available in the app with direct links
  • Uses a warm, conversational tone—like talking to someone who really gets it
  • Focuses on what you can do today, not overwhelming you with information
  • Integrates extensive knowledge from experts in neuroscience, polyvagal theory, and trauma healing

How to Access Your AI Health Coach

There are two ways to start a conversation:

  1. From the Home Screen - Tap the AI Health Coach button
  2. From the AI Coach Tab - Navigate to the AI Coach tab at the bottom of the screen

What You Can Ask

Your AI Health Coach can help with:

Immediate Relief

Examples:

  • "I'm feeling anxious and need something right now"
  • "Can you recommend something for my racing thoughts?"

Understanding Your Body

Examples:

  • "Why do I feel bloated every afternoon?"
  • "What does it mean when I'm wired but tired?"
  • "Help me understand my gut issues"

Building Habits

Examples:

  • "I want to start a daily practice but don't know where to begin"
  • "How can I remember to regulate my nervous system?"

Learning About Features and Content

  • "What courses about gut issues are available in the app?"
  • "How do I use the Check-In?"
  • "Are there any live events coming up about changing eating habits?"
  • "What's the difference between somatic exercises and meditations?"

Your Privacy

Your conversations with the AI Health Coach are confidential:

  • Your questions and conversations are private to you
  • Anonymized summaries help improve the app, but are never linked to you personally
  • You can review your conversation history anytime

Viewing Your Conversation History

To see previous conversations:

  1. Open the AI Coach tab
  2. Tap Chat History at the top of the screen
  3. Select any conversation to load it

Your coach remembers your previous conversations, and the important health information you've shared, so you don't have to repeat yourself.

Tips for Getting the Most from Your Coach

Be Specific About How You Feel

Instead of "I feel bad," try "I feel anxious with racing thoughts and tension in my chest"

Share What You Need

  • Looking for immediate help? Say "I need something right now"
  • Want better understanding? Ask "Why does this happen?"
  • Need both? Your coach can provide both education and tools

Actually Do the Practices

When your coach recommends a somatic exercise or meditation, try it. The benefit comes from doing, not just reading or watching videos.

Follow Up

After trying a tool, let your coach know how it went. This helps tailor future recommendations.
