Daily Plans

Daily Plans are the heart of the Your Daily® experience. Starting in version 1.7.0, the Home screen now presents your Daily Plan front and center every time you open the app—giving you a clear, focused set of activities to work through each day.

What Is a Daily Plan?

A Daily Plan is your personal coaching program, structured day by day around a health focus area called a Path. Each day, you'll find a short set of activities waiting for you. Completing them consistently is how real, lasting change happens.

Think of it as a guided journey: each day builds on the last, and your Path keeps you moving in a direction that's meaningful to you.

All Daily Plan content is reviewed for scientific accuracy by a PhD health research scientist on staff at Your Daily®.

Your Path

Your Path is the focus area your Daily Plan is built around—things like gut health, daily stress, or anxiety. Your initial Path is selected for you, based on the questions that you answered about your health concerns, and all of your daily content will be tailored to that focus.

You can view your full Path at any time by tapping into the Path overview from the Home screen. This shows you all of the modules in your plan, your progress through each one, and what's coming up ahead.

What's in a Daily Plan?

Each day includes up to three required activities and one optional bonus item:

  • Lesson — Educational content to help you understand your nervous system and your focus area. May include a video, written content, or both.
  • Practice — An activity that puts the lesson into action. Reinforces what you're learning through direct experience.
  • Somatic Movement — A short body-based exercise, typically a video. Helps your body release tension and build regulation.
  • Encouragement (optional) — An inspiring quote or image. A small boost whenever you need it. This one doesn't count toward completing the day.

You don't need to complete everything in one sitting—but finishing all three required items marks the day as done and unlocks the next one.

How Day Completion Works

A day is complete when you've completed all the required items (Lesson, Practice, and Somatic Movement, whichever are included that day). Here's how completion is tracked:

  • Videos: Watching to near the end automatically marks the item complete. You can also mark it complete manually.
  • Written content: Read the content, then mark it complete manually either by clicking on the "Completed" indicator on the screen for that item, or by clicking on the indicator to the left of the item on the home screen.

The Encouragement item is always optional and never required, in order to complete a day.

Unlocking New Days

Your Daily Plan is designed to keep you moving at a healthy pace:

  • The first day of your Path is available right away.
  • Each new day unlocks once you complete the day before it—generally, one new day per calendar day.
  • There are a couple of helpful exceptions:
    • When you finish Day 1, Day 2 unlocks immediately—no need to wait until the next day. The first day is intentionally introductory, so you can dive into the real content right away.
    • If you were almost done with a day (just one item left) and you finish it today, the next day unlocks right away.

You can always go back and review completed days at any time.

Existing Users: Getting Started with Daily Plans

If you had a Your Daily® account before version 1.7.0 of the app, your account won't have a Path set up yet—and that's okay. The first time you open the app after updating, you'll see a prompt on the Home screen letting you know about the new feature and inviting you to go through the onboarding survey.

We recommend taking a few minutes to complete the onboarding survey. It helps Your Daily® understand your health goals and select the right Path for you. The survey is quick and you can launch it directly from the Home screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change my Path? Not at this time. We intend to add this ability in an upcoming version of the app.

What if I miss a day? No problem—your current day will still be there waiting for you. The plan doesn't penalize you for taking time off. Just pick up where you left off.

Do I have to do activities in order? Within a day, you can complete activities in any order, although the Practice often builds on what's in the Lesson, so it is recommended to go through the Lesson first, before doing the Practice. Between days, each new day unlocks after the previous one is complete.

What happens when I finish my Path? You'll complete all the core modules in your Path. More content, including advanced modules, and different Paths, is on the way.
