Clearing the App Cache
If you're experiencing display issues, missing information, or the app seems to be showing outdated content, clearing the app's cache can often help.
Steps to Clear the Cache
- Open Settings - Go to the Home screen, and tap the three dots icon in the upper-right corner
- Expand App Details - In Settings, tap on the "App Details" section to expand it. At the bottom, you'll see a "Clear Cache" link—tap it.
- Fully close and reopen the app - Once the cache has been cleared, close the app entirely. Don't just switch to another app or go to the home screen—make sure it's completely closed (for example, by removing it from your device's app switcher). Wait a couple of seconds, then reopen it.
Not sure how to fully close the app?
On most devices, you can open your app switcher (the screen that shows all your recently used apps) and swipe the Your Daily® app away to close it completely. The exact gesture varies by device.
When to Try This
If a Your Daily® support representative instructs you to clear your cache to solve a particular problem.
Otherwise, clearing the cache is a good first troubleshooting step if you notice:
- Content that looks outdated or doesn't match what you expect
- Missing information that should be there
- Display glitches or screens that aren't rendering correctly
